Howdy
from Nashville! I'm Caitlin Spaulding. Many of you may remember me from my work at Sycamore Video. After graduating from ISU, I landed a position working as a Post-Production
Assistant/Coordinator at CMT (Country Music Television) in Nashville, Tennessee. This basically means I am the liaison between
CMT Post and the producers, editors, and other clients.
My
job is to handle the requests for encoding, duplication, digitizing, closed
captioning, and other client services as well as handle any problems that may
arise. I am also in charge of purchasing
tape stock and other office supplies that are needed for the department and reconciling
our MasterCard every month. I
pretty much try to help the department run as smoothly as possible.
Professional Tip:
As I am gaining experience in the professional field, I am
learning that you need to be flexible.
There have been many times when people have expressed how much they
appreciate me being flexible and working with them to make things happen. Whether it be flexible with work hours,
taking a half day instead of a full day off, or rearranging your schedule so that
something that came in last minute can get done, it shows that you are willing
to do what it takes to get the job done and employers respect that.
