Clarence Major grew up in Chicago, Illinois where he took private art lessons from Gus Nall and attended drawing and lecture classes at the Art Institute. He later earned a Ph.D. in both fine arts and literature from Vermont College. Here are a few of his works featured in the University Art Gallery, at Indiana State University.
